Default Ready to buy a chip...Ruffles? Fritos? Cheetos? Doritos? MTM? APR?

Seriously though, I'm about to buy a chip but, I don't know which one to get. What are the websites for the different chip manufacturers out there? has anyone tried different chips and have an opinion on which is better? I just need some help here before I plunk down more money to my addiction...

Default APR, MTM, ABT, O.CT, GIAC, I prefer the APR though b/c of the ability to switch b/w programs

www.goapr.com
http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/ for MTM
http://www.stratmosphere.com/index.htm for ABT and O.CT

no idea what the Garret website is

Default which is best is in the eye (or butt) of the beholder...

i like the apr chip because it allows you to switch between modes (e.g., stock, 91 octane, 93 octane, 100 octane, valet -- better known as the mode it gets set to when my son wants to drive the tt).

Default giacusa.com, goapr.com have the most info on chip tuning...

with GIAC, you'll need to decide from whom to buy. I chose Pes-Tuning.com and they were great.

Although I have the GIAC chip, I would go with APR now, as they seem to be doing most of the innovation and have multiple programs from which to chose. Make sure you tell them that your car will only be running on 91 octane... it makes a difference.

What is the process of buying a chip...does that mean my car will be inoperable for a few days?

Default It depends if you have the chastity belt on the ECU

that is from all reports very tough to get off. (late 2002 cars on)
