Default rear ended

this morning i was stopped at a traffic light. a guy, not paying attention to what he was doing, could not stop in time and rear ended me. i took a pretty good shot. i got out of the car expecting the rear end of my six month old car crushed in. instead, not a scratch or a dent. i could not believe it. his car apparently hit just below the license plate area and just above the valance in the center of the car. his bumper left some paint on my bumper. it wiped off. what is behind the bumper that absorbed the hit? i feel fortunate that no one was hurt and the tt still does not have a scratch on it.

Default It might be worth having a mechanic take a look ->

there could be damage to the fender. They're meant to crumple, if it is damaged it might not work as well in another accident.

Plus, his insurance should pay if they find anything.
