Default Recall

I ordered my quattro, and will be here in late Jan. I have talked to the dealer about the handling recall, and he said the front and rear suspension will be corrected at the factory, He said he didn't know if the spoiler would be added there. I would like to see a picture of the car with the spoiler before they put it on. I have faith in Audi not to ruin the lines, but big investments deserve to be supported with tangible evidence. Does any one have a picture?

Ed,

Go to www.audiusa.com and click on TT tab. Go down to the news about voluntary recall info. There's a small picture of the spoiler.

For me, I prefer without the spoiler. I like the cleaner lines--rounded front, rounded back. I'm hoping it is attached with trim tape so no holes drilled. If the recall is done in two stages, it may be possible to get the sway bars, shocks, etc and then not do the spoiler for early delivery TTs.

According to Audi, all cars built after week 50 will come with the spoiler. Some cars completed are being re-worked before shipping so there may be a delay with your car. My Roadster has gone back by 4 weeks as a result of the mods (original delivery date end of Jan) and will be delivered at the end of February.

Happy hols,
Paul.
