Default Removing Phone

Hi,

My TT arrived today, I get to take it tomorrow. I noticed that the dealer "accidentally" included an analog phone at $495. I have a digital pocket phone with useful search functionality, so the analog "can't leave the car and doesn't have search" phone doesn't make sense. Is it possible to remove the phone from the TT without leaving any evidence of its existence? Is it possible to use the pre-wiring for a digital pocket phone?

Thanks for any help,
-Peter

OK so I just looked at the Motorola site and it does have search, but I don't want to program all those numbers again and I still couldn't take it with me on foot. If I decide to keep it, is it possible for two analog cellphones to have the same number?

Default Check with your provider. They might offer duo phone service. Mine does.

I actually have an analog and a digital with the same number here in CT using SNET Wireless.<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/wennch.gif " border="0">

I had the same thing on my TT. You can easily remove the parts inside the car so that it doesn't look like you have the phone. Many people have been able to use the existing wiring to hook up another phone. Search the archives for this info. I had the dealership remove all of the parts so I could sell the phone. Besides what you see in the car, there is also a transmitter in the rear side panel of the car. It is difficult to remove, so I recommend having the dealer help out.
