Replacing CV boot----Affect alignment?

Default Replacing CV boot----Affect alignment?
Does removal of half shaft for boot replacement require disconnecting any suspension parts that would neccessitate realignment of front end.?
(Going to dealer tomorrow.)

Default Depends on how they do it...>
If they just pop the ball joint free, then no. If the unbolt the ball joint at it's base then possibly yes, but it's pretty easy to put those back where they are as the 3 washers leave clear marks on the A arm...

Remove the complete axle from the inner joint as well is another option. This won't require any alignment either.

Default It fatigued out and has a separation all way around at the small end.
By the way, your car is identical to mine. Looks great.

I was removing wheels to clean backsides, and found grease inside wheel. 42000 mi.
