Last week I took my roadster in for reprogramming door locks. The dealer made the change so that the doors lock at 15 mph and if you press and hold the key fob, the windows go up or down. Without asking, they recoded the Bose and I do have to admit it was a great improvement. Took less than 5 minutes. Might be worth it for those of you complaining about the Bose system.

What did the dealer do to the Bose to improve it? Can you give some sort of description? I'd love to start out with an improved stereo...

I believe they simply enter a code thru the different buttons on the system. It took less than a minute. When the Bose comes on it will no longer say BOSE on the readout display.

Ah, so this is the non-upgraded stereo then? Mine will have the upgraded audio. Will this still apply?

What do you mean? I can control Bass and treble? And my system still says Bose? Please explain...

I stand corrected on how they reprogramed the Bose.

..from a security point I would have thought it better for them to lock below 15mph to avoid car-jacking and not be locked above 15mph in case of a crash.
Am I missing something?
