Has anyone experienced resale value problems as of late. I've been trying to sell my showroom condition loaded 2001 225 Coupe (silver/black/6 spd) for about a month for $32,900. I'm in a large car market (Houston). I've had one call!
I know the economy is bad and the psychological impact of the Sept 11th events have many people putting off luxury purchases, but I thought I would have received more calls. However, it also makes me think that I'm doing the right thing by trying to unload it now, because I think future resale values can only get worse, based upon a greater volume of TT's on the road, as well as additional discounting on new models sold by the dealers.

The problem is new car sales. Here all the US car dealers are offering 0%...
the cars/trucks are flying off the lots here, and no one wants a used car, at higher interest rates, than what they could buy new.
They profiled a guy on the news here last night. He saved $8K in interest on a new pick-up.
Add that to the price of a used car, and it's not worth it.

I posted the other day ....
I need to get a car I can haul my 2 kids in car seats in. I went to a big dealer here, they have like 8 brands. I was looking at the WRX and the salesman told me he thought the could get me like $28000 or something for it, but would get back to me with a firm number, as it was 7 pm on a saturday. Well the salesman called and said he was sorry but the best he could do was $23500 !!! I have a pre ESP 2001 Coupe with 10600 miles, premium, performance, and bose packages. I said NO WAY!!! Now a fellow Audiworlder is interested in my car, but I am not sure what to do. If it means a huge hit I won't sell. I really don't want to sell the car, I just had a wakeup call though. My wife was in an accident and I had both kids 2 years old and 2 months old. Her fender was bent into wheel and they were going to tow it, I couldn't get the kids in the car and pick her up. Fortunately my Mom loaned us her car until the Durango got fixed. Just made me realize I need a bigger car.
