Default Resonated Exhaust Tip

I was thinking about getting this tip, but I was wondering what a resonated exhaust sounded like. My real question is what does a resonated tip do if anything, or is it just for looks. Also if anyone has their exhaust tips sticking out a little further than stock could you show me a picture because I want to see how they look because I might do that. Default Not surprising with college these days! LOL!

I have a co-worker that has a master's degree in teaching, and I used this word in a sentence (don't remember what it was now) which was a pretty basic word. She asked me what that word meant! Geezz! I was completely shocked! This gal has a frickin' Master's degree and doesn't know what this basic word means? What the hell are teacher's teaching students these days? I am always amazed at how some people get through college. There are more stupid people around that I would really care to know about. Use the brain!

Default If you have a beefy muffler before it, you will not hear a difference. If you don't, then a

resonated tip dampens out a spitting sound

It's pretty subjective, but I am a resonated tip fan. This is because I am always after a fiercer sounding exhaust (like Ferrari) and not a humming exhaust when I am hard on the pedal.

I saw one of the nicest resonated tip that I'd probably install one day. It's made by Magnaflow. It's a 4" slanted cut, and the whole tip is about 12" so it has a big enough resonance cavity that would be effective. The only other thing I know that would be as effective as this are Lamborghini tips. They are about $90 each though.

I have a slanted version of what you have pictured up there right now. But I welded the clamp holes shut and welded the thing on the pipe.
