Default Only 5 grand more than a 225...hmm,

15 hp and a new tranny worth that?
only to be spanked by a chipped 225 thats lighter in the front...and potentailly more stable...

How long before 225's are sporting the bodystyling package???

I think they're talking British Pounds.

Soooo about 8K more? I wonder how it would perform against a 225QC 6SPD?

Default $7853, but yeah, quite a bit for only 15hp. Love the body kit and the gaudy orange, though.

Oh, and the killer gearbox. Manual, no, but still trick and probably pretty fast.

Default To answer the review's question? No. With out a real 6-speed, I'd say its a step down from 225hp.

Audi killed the 5-speed of the 180HP. Now a auto 6-speed? The TT is already a artistic modern design. It doesn't need any cheesy gill slits or big spoilers.
I would rather see Audi discontinue the TT rather than destroy a Pure Design.

Default I was pointing out that the car is 5k more than a UK 225...would that

translate into a 5k increase over here...all things being relative ;-)

Default Actually I get the impression that it IS a real 6spd...F1 style.

With a little extra gadgetry thrown in. One thing they didn't mention was the torque. I'm also pretty sure the V6 would actually seem more than '15hp faster' than the 225, esp off the line, since the power is of the instant on variety, rather than the Turbo lagged variety.

Just too bad it's coupe only so far...
