Default RS4 Replicas

I am considering upgrading my stock 17s to RS4 replicas (either 18 or 19").

If you have RS4 replicas... how do they shine compared to the stock rims?

My stock 17s have a very nice glossy shine to them as you can see in the pic below. I am not a fan of that matte look with no shine. I want a nice shine to them rims.

Any help appreciated.<ul><li><a href="http://www.djpill.com/audi/audiwheels/wheel1/wheel1c.jpg">One of my stock 17" wheels</a></li></ul>

The RS4s are not polished like your stock 225 wheels. They are a painted silver metal flake finish.

Default Your current wheels are polished metal with a clear coat. The RS4's are painted.

They will not have anything like as much shine. Here is a pic of my car with the same wheels you have right now next to another TT with painted wheels:

Pretty different. Here is a closeup of the RS4 replicas the day I got them:

On the car in daylight:

The finishes are very different.

Default Good comparison pics

Yeah... hmmmm i don't know if I want to go that route then. At least not silver. Could go chrome... hrmmmgh. But thats overkill.

I wonder if i can get a wheel similar to the RS4 style that has a nice polish to them.

Default You can get the RS4's refinished with a polished face. Not cheap though.

Do NOT put chrome wheels on a TT, please!

Look for wheels with a 'machined' face. That is the finish you're after :-)

There was a post last week about getting the real RS4/ALMS wheels for 850 from an Audi dealer...

Default Per the Audi Dealer... deal fell through

no longer available. Do the OEM wheels shine better than the replicas or are they the same?

The finish is identical, from I can see.
