Default I have a 02 TT and a 95 URS6.....The S6 is a Daily, the TT is the toy.

In the winter they both get Gislavad Nordfrost 3s. I also have a 04 Touareg the wife drives daily.

I've also had a 01 A4 Quattro.

The S6 being my daily sees more snow days, but the TT is always laying in wait in case the the Touareg or S6 is out of comission or I get a wild hair up my ****.

The fun factor and stabilty factor goes to the TT HANDS DOWN. Over the URS6, the A4 and the Treg, and even our old 02 GMC Envoy.

Because of the short wheel base, the haldex system being a fwd bias awd system and lower center of gravity, it is far superior traction and handling wise and has more of a wow factor when you pass 4x4's that are struggling. Tires have a lot to do with it, but the TT is a better winter car.

Even with the traction control off, the TT will swing the rear in a very controlled mannor, and then snap it right back in check when you want it to. The URS6 has a tendancy to hang the back end out longer and less controlled....plus the URS6 is a rwd bias awd system and I feel I get less control out of it than the Halex system.

The locking rear differential on the rear of the URS6 is a nice thing to have if you get stuck or are in really deep stuff, but that RARELY happens.

JMHO...your mileage may vary.

Default </sheds a single tear and thinks about the island packet>

Just kidding, Steve ;-)
It isn't geared for your demographic..
LOL JK JK Schwing!
in all seriousness, it's a fun and fast car, but the power curve is too dramatic. You're right about the on-off switch power band. It's 100hp...120hp...140hp...
BLAMO 380hp!!!!
Oh well, it is what it is :-)

The first one to come to mind for me is a certain ALMS. Likely not binary.

Default Yes they are. The URS4/6 is basically a 100/A6, B5 is the 80/90 and transition to the A4 platform

And they are differnet generations.

URS4/6 is 92-96
B5 is 99-02 (I believe.)
