Default Sat (Radio) antenna install

I got a Sirius radio (Sportster) for christmas. I had been using it with the antenna on the dash, which actually worked fairly well. I recently put the antenna on the roof and (not surprisingly) get better reception. Has anyone done this install? Where did you run the cable? Do the panels along the back and side of the interior roof come off enough to run the wire in there or is it better to run it down to the floor and up to the front dash?

Thanx

Default XM antenna on top of the roof...

I dropped the rear headliner and ran it through the existing antenna hole in the roof. I removed the driver side--back seat--cd changer--panel, ran it through the center console to the ashtray area where I connected it to the XM Roady2.
