Default We're building a great winery out there -- Northstar -- excellent Merlots.

Just approving website, I'd link it, but it's not active yet.

One of their latest reviews:

Wine Advocate Rates "Immensely Impressive" 1998 Northstar Merlot 92+

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate rated the 1998 Northstar Merlot 92+ points in the October 30th issue of the newsletter describing the wine as follows: "(Northstar) boasts a saturated dark ruby color and an intense nose of back cherries and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, broad, big and juicy, this dense plump, chewy-textured wine is loaded. Cassis, cherries, blackberries and hints of licorice can be discerned in the suave, highly concentrated, and expansive wine's character. It is powerful, harmonious, and exhibits an extraordinarily long, fruit-packed seamless finish. Immensely impressive."

Default Oops, my mistake: Walla Walla

Construction Updates Archives

January 2002

New Winery Slated to Break Ground in Walla Walla this Month

Later this month, Northstar will break ground on a new winery adjacent to Pepperbridge Winery in Walla Walla, Washington. Designed to our winemakers' specifications, its size is small but its vision large. Building on Washington state's penchant for Merlots with rich, supple texture, depth and structure, ours is an on-going exploration of Washington's star grape variety. The new winery, dedicated to small lot production, is schedule for completion in the fall of 2002.

Default I am very familiar with Washington Wineries......we be an awesome TT Roadtrip in the Spring

we could drop in on some great wineries all within 60 miles of each other. To include Columbia Crest, Preston, Hogue Cellars, Chateau St. Michele, Gordon Brothers & Bookwalter to name just a few.
