seat heater button disappears into dash :-(
After using the driver's side seat heater button to activate the heat, I pushed it back in and it kept going back into the dash :-(
Afterwards, by sticking a finger under the dash lip with the radio cover half-opened, I was able to pull the button out far enough to turn the heat back off, but the button is still loose and somewhat retracted into the dash.
I saw someone else mention recently that this had happened to them. Does anyone know how the button is attached to the dash (friction fit, or something more secure?), and is it possible to fix yourself (I know it's a pain to get at them, by removing radio, etc., but if I could get there, would it do any good?)
(BTW, the metal rings that surround each of the buttons are just a friction fit - I was able to pop one out to give me a little more working room while trying to move the heater button.)
I know the backup choice is to go to dealer, but thanks in advance for any D-I-Y suggestions...
