Default Servicing my DV...Does this look right???

Sorry about the side-view...
I usualy clean & relube about avery 5-7000 mi. It;s been about 6 or 7000 since last time but it is twice as filthy as I have seen before. We have had a few fires near hear causing (fairly)smokey air. Also there is a splater of dark grease on the "dome" part. Is this normal? If not, what would cause this?
I'm still having some surging in 4th above 5000rpm's but thought it was due to my original MAF with 58,00miles on it. Could I have another problem causing this???

Default yeah looks like you have the same life time supply that I do, lol. It does look like

the grease cooked like Juliem said. Even in AZ can't imagine burning Mobil 1 Syn grease in a DV.

Default It is normal for a well used DV, re-lubing it will bring back some

some performance....we just did this to TTowsonTT and he noticed an immediate improvement.
