Default SF Bay Area: Anyone have an exhaust for sale?

Specifically 225 TTQ exhaust options. (I'm looking to upgrade my stock exhaust and convert my 180 TTQ to dual tips.)

The 225 TTQ exhaust system doe not fit on your 180 TTQ. You will have to shop places like Audi TT Stuff to find an exhaust system for a 180 TTQ that has dual outlets and will fit your car. Borla does make one. There may be others. Chec with Achtuning too...

Default Not looking for a stock exhaust

My understanding is that any aftermarket 225 TTQ dual exhaust will fit a 180 TTQ as long as a new dual exhaust valence is fitted.

My first choice would be either a Jetex or Milltek exhaust, but I'll consider others that don't drone too badly at 3K RPM.

Default I believe your understanding may be wrong...

because if any aftermarket 225TTQ dual exhaust would fit a 180 TTQ as long as dual exhaust valence is fitted, then why do vendors such as Borla on Audi TT Stuff have two different part numbers for the exhaust systems for the 225 and 180 with dual tips?

Check also on the Milltek site and the Jetex site. I would expect different part numbers there too...

I believe to get the dual 225 ex into a 180 you need to cut into the hatch bottom

Default Same APR part # for both 180Q & 225Q exhausts

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/apr_exhaust_tt.html

It look like Milltek sells one part for both applications:
http://www.millteksport.com//exhaust.products.cfm?variantid=32

Same with Jetex:
http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/jetex_exhausts_chooser.php?mat=Stainless+Steel&amp ;mak=Audi&mod=TT

Borla does have two part numbers, so perhaps it depends on the manufacturer going with a more universal fit or not?

Default

Perhaps for a FWD--but not for a Quattro.

Default Go to AudiWorld Classifieds...

on this site. There is a fellow in Florida who has a Borla for sale for $485. Shipping should not be too much. So, you get the system for about a little over 1/2 of retail.

Default I started working on my custom exhaust. When I'm done, I have no need for my Jetex...

although I'm waiting for whodkne to decide if he wants to ship it to LA

I'm in the bay area. And no I won't make you a custom one

Default My Jetex required some cutting of a shield. I guess it fits a 180 Quattro shield better..

but you need the valence. Not a problem with shears though, just a 5-10 minute job.
