I tore mine years ago-- Had a long piece of tubing in the hatch and wasn't careful :-(

Believe it or not, I fixed the tear with super glue. Never has reopend. I had forgotten.

I have a torn spare , and one that developed a tear about a year ago >

doesn't bother me any more, just a place to stick my finger ;-) while I'm waiting at lights....

I agree with Bob on this one though - it's integral to the car.

I have two of their boots, great quality

A nice looks for the TT is the black boot with gray stripe, I think Redline posted a pic here or on Vortex.

Mine wasn't that great

I ordered, black with grey stripe. I had one earlier for my Miata and the boot was ok. Leather isn't the greatest, very grainy and not too smooth but I was relatively satisfied.

The one I got for the TT had mounting holes all wrong. The entry hole for the shifter was too small not allowing the metal piece to go through without forcing it. The thread in the stripe became loose.

I'm returning it. I wanted a refund but the guy refused. So when I get the new one, I'd be happy to sell it to someone. I much prefer the stock rubber boot (which you can get for $50 online new).
