Should I buy 2002 TT coupe or not ?????
OK !!!!!! I've been monitoring this forum for almost a month now while I've been waiting to take delivery of my TT next month... I have mixed feelings. Don't get me wrong, I think the TT is a thrill , BUT, I'm really not into taking it to the dealer every other month for problems.

An automobile Forum is a magnet for complaints. Check any other Forum, it is the same culture.....
I have had no problems and am a 2nd owner. The car is 10 monthe out of the showroom. This is the only place a person can publically vent and just because it is the ludest voice here doesn't mean it is the aggregate reflection of the product as a whole.

Ward's 10 best engines

don't worry
for one thing, you probably CAN'T take it to the dealer once a month because they probably can't schedule you for appointments that often anyway... :-(
...only half joking :-(
but in seriousness, if you look carefully at all the problems you've seen, almost all are quite minor. if all we can complain about is a privacy shield rattle, that ain't bad. annoying, but not going to strand you by the side of the highway. even the ubiquitous DV failures don't have any immediate side effects to worry about.
also, as someone mentioned, people come here to report problems. last I checked, there is no forum for people to gather in and report that they have NO problems. if there was, people would be posting there all the time :-)
so don't worry about it. collect the car, and drive it away happy, and it will be fine...
(BTW, Road & Track 2 year 50K road test just wrapped up, nothing to complain about except the privacy shield rattle and a broken mirror adjustment switch)

You'll be sorry ----------->
1. You'll eventually have to get some sleep.
2. Your arm will be sore from the cleaning.
3. You'll always be explaining to people what
kind of car it is.
You'll love it!

Not to worry -- had mine for a year now, no unscheduled dealer visits
It's a great car -- get it!
Of course, I've done a few minor mods myself--but that's part of the "owner-car bonding" ritual. BTW, has anyone recommended Zymol yet? Great stuff, easily beats that other Z product Let us know when you get it, then enjoy. Cheers!
