Default Silly Strut bearing question

I'm replacing the bearings and bushings soon... I have looked at two write ups (marTT and schwing)...

In marTT's he uses a hazet tool and or a spark plug socket with a wrench on it...In steve's, he uses air tools...

If using an impact gun, is there no need for the hazet or spark plug socket?

Don't use air tools on the strut nut.

Default Don't use anything high powered...>

I used a small butterfly wrench with adjustable torque. You don't need much.

Understood - but using air means no allen wrench and hazet/plug socket?

Default here's my experience >>

if you are not reusing the struts you are removing - take it off with an air gun (but don't put anything back on with one) if you are keeping the struts and just doing bearings and bushings... use this >>

<img src="http://www.metalnerd.com/images/products/cat05/mn2122.jpg">

it allows you to put a 3/8" drive ratchet through it to hold the inner strut nut steady as you take the outer securing nut off.

use this to put them back on as well.<ul><li><a href="http://www.metalnerd.com/cat05.htm">http://www.metalnerd.com/cat05.htm</a</li></ul>
