Silverstone sparkplug mod:
Installed a set of Beru Silverstone plugs this weekend. Its a specialty all silver electrode plug. The old NGKs had about 27K kms on them. Colour of old plugs was a brick red, with some fouling. Prior to installing car was somewhat stumbly in idle and was a little stumbly off the line. Plug installation took usual 15 minutes. Didnt use anti seize compound on the new thread. Will be putting di-electric grease inside the boots for better conductivity and reduced corrosion later on this week. Plugs seemed to really improve idle. Car is idling now about 750 approx and its rock steady. Before it use to move around alittle bit +/- 50-75rpms. Acceleration seems fractionally smoother. No noticeable effect in speed, but I believe to get more power outta of these plugs an uprated igniton system is the way to go. All in all happy with the plug, it makes for a cheap hassle free mod.
