Default Snubbed!

Well its my turn for a mini-vent. Who are these people who buy our beloved sports car only to snub others with the same vehicle.

Just had to run out and pick my son up at my sister's house. At the entrance to the highway I'm two cars behind oTTo's sibling..another Nimbus Roadster. I caught up to it on the highway and a woman/girl is driving..I pull up next to her and wave...she looks and then looks away. That's it. Sad but true.

Default 1 out of 3 encounters is the same here

I don't know what it is but I've seen it more than a few times. I'm always flashing (the lights only...) and waving at every TT I see and while most respond in kind, some just act like Boxter drivers.

Now that the TT is more mainstream, not all TT owners are all that fanatical...

Default Skeptic is right...

I don't initiate anymore because I just get annoyed when I get dissed.

When a fellow fanatic waves I am more than happy to reciprocate.

Default Just happened an hour ago

Was driving around in my TTR, enjoying a topless day (rare enough in MN) and saw a silver TTC coming in the opposite direction. A crazy, cheerful wave from me -- blank stare from the other driver.

What the hell is going on? It seems to be recent, all winter every single TT I passed was going nuts when they saw me. Or rather, saw my car. Anyhoo, it pisses me off. Why buy such a distinct and exciting car if you have no enthusiasm for it?

Default My theory is that the bad ones are just mad they aren't as "exclusive" as they'd like.

Dumb, but I think some people feel that way.

More the norm now than the exception; sad to say.

Default Two of my theories on this:

1. If the other person is of the oppposite gender, they may think that you are trying to hit on them.

2. On a car like the TT, too many people got it as a status symbol not as a passion for what they like.

As a side note: Every other Integra type R owner I've met has been absolutely awesome but I think it's cause to buy this car you have to be one wierd performance crazed ****.
