so go to start my car the last night, put the key to on position, everything lights up as usual,

Default so go to start my car the last night, put the key to on position, everything lights up as usual,

pause till ok lights up then turn and wham

car goes dead, no power, nothing works

get out of car. lock car and alarm beeps.
unlock get back in and its fine, just everything is reset

anyone seen this one before? (im sure im not the first)

Did your date/time reset? if so, your battery is low/going.

Default yup it did.

but it was fine once i set then disabled the alarm

Think its time for a new battery then?

A sure sign. Pull the top, and check the water level too.
