Default Something that's annoying me right now:

It's my fault, but, I'm still annoyed..

Every once in awhile, I buy a batch of DVD's (5 or so) and tuck em away for future viewing...

Well, tonight,I started watching my brand new "The Quiet Man" and about 1/2 through the thing starts freezing up...I clean the DVD and all that jazz...no luck...

Of course I bought it months ago....and have no receipt...In fact, if memory serves...I think I bought this DVD the night my TT was keyed to death..but maybe not...So, I'm stuck!

It's the first dvd I've ever purchased that did this fresh from the case...

It's my fault...I accept responsibiity but I'm still annoyed...

Sorry to bother you...Please return to your regularly scheduled programming...

Default Kim, use a glass polish on the surface, and check the edge of the DVD for shavings...

If there are ragged edges on the DVD, shave it or sand it smooth, also polish the DVD with a glass polish. Either of these two things may help just enough for the error correction circuit in the player to play it without freezing up. These measures have worked for me in the past.

Failing that, they make pretty good frisbees. :-)

Default Kim it sounds like a defect. The distributor should have a phone number you can call for defective

product. Who made the disc? WB, Artisan, etc?

Post the name from the jacket or insert and I may be able to find a body to call.

Great movie, btw.

Default I looked it up on Amazon. It is Artisan (good guess on my part)

and they have a great reputation for customer service.

There should be a phone number in the packaging somewhere for Artisan.

Please verify in the linked photo if I found the correct DVD edition.

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00000I1KV.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg</a
