It's more of a pain but here you go:
You have to remove the cover below the engine and you will see the DV positioned in front behind the grill and a little towards the passenger side. You can only get to it from under the car. The vac hose on mine had a braided outer layer that made it hard to fit over the Forge vac connection. A little soapy water should be all you need to get it on. It's a little hard to get to it but otherwise it's the same process as on the TT.
Good luck!

Yepper...have done several in A4s...
DV on a A4 is located in the passenger side front wheel well forward the wheel well liner. Need to jack (and properly secure) up front of car (passenger side only will do although both sides works better for more working space...to do this you need two jacks and set of jack stands) then remove under engine plastic pan and just behind the front fascia and in front of the wheelwell liner you will see the high and low turbo pressure hoses and the DV with its vacuum hose. Couple of important notes:
-the vacuum hose on the A4 has a cloth braiding on it and thus is less compliant than the all rubber TT vacuum hose...it is harder to remove and much harder to slip over the Forge vacuum nipple...use some soapy water over nipple and work slowly...it will slide on.
-the way the A4 DV is attached to the turbo hoses makes tearing the DV hose connection point to the turbo hose...just work carefully and slowly removing and installing DVs...tear hose and it is $34 and an hour to replace. Use soapy water on Forge DV ports to make slipping into hoses easier.
-maintain the Forge DV positions to memic positioning of OEM DV
Takes more time jacking car up and removing/installing under engine cover that to actually replace DV :-(

Thanks guys.....I'm game to try it. I really have no way to work under the car where I am, so
I'm gonna take Peter's advice and take it to a shop....
I was hoping it was simple like the TT.
Thanks for the input!

If you liked that, then go here...
The stuff they sell is just too funny, especially the Demotivators series!
