Default Spec stg III here, very happy with it.

Avoid the lightened flywheel from Spec, gave me hell. The clutch disk -the one you see in the pic- is very good and can take lots of abuse without any sign of slip. It's been on my car for more than 20k kms and has never shown any sign of complain. You must however understand that when the time comes for you to replace its friction material, the rivets will have already caused damage to the flywheel, which doesn't come cheap. Spec's pressure plate is certainly beefed up, but will make the clutch pedal heavier. In fact, it's so heavy people think I have a worn clutch or something. Last but not least, the kit includes a ball bearing from Sachs, pretty much the same as the OE.

I have no feedback as to ECS's kit, but never had issues with an ECS product. Other solutions you may want to try at very competeitive prices -at least here in Europe- are MTM's organic clutch disk and Sachs Racing Engineering's clutch. If you know where to search for these products, esp. the Sachs clutch, I can find the part numbers you need. I also have the part numbers of the flywheel/clutch disk/pressure plate of a 400bhp S3 modded by Sportec, but I quess that isn't what you're looking for. :-)

it's very grabby. i have not had any issues.
i decided to go with a steel flywheel rather than the lightened aluminum.

Yes, at least mine was based on a Sachs product. Had the Sachs logo on the central part.
