Default Stable Energies Bar advice???

I installed the Stable Energies Bar in my TT QC. As suggested, it needs spacers on the outside of the bracket so the seat pins line up. I used 2 7/16 copper washers on each side. Anyone have other suggestions? Since the instructions don't specify, I am assuming that the bar should be positioned forward when using for harnesses. Is this correct? Also, what would you suggest for harness to use with it & best mounting methods? Thanks for the advice!!!

Default Call Stable Energies. They have aluminum spacers available now. I use a diest 6 point harness that I

got from Stable Energies. I mounted the two shoulder straps to the bar. The two waist belts to the factory locations and the two sub belts to the front bolts that hold the seat to the car.

The harness bar goes forward at a slightly inclined angle when using the belts and flips around for when you put the seats back.

Hope this helps.

Default That helps... some...

My bar came with aluminum spacers that go behind the bracket & replace the black ones on the car stock. Is that the spacers you referred to? Or are there now spacers that go between the pins and the bar?
Did the lap harnesses attach to the stock bolts or did you use eyelets?
Thanks!!!

Default The spacers should have come with the bar!

That is how we designed it in the first place!

Default Go to a website I created for Stable Energies for the installation of everything . . .

<a href="http://members.tripod.com/harness_instructions/">Harness installation instructions</a>

If you have any other questions I can answer anything you want. I designed how this was going to work and worked with Stable Energies to get them produced!

I can take more pics of the bar itself if you like as well.

Mine did not come with the "goldish washers" which would have been to space the pins out better.

Default One correction, you can easily take the seat out of the car. I've done it many times and the air bag

will NOT go off.

Default Those were the washers from the prototype! lol

As I said I did the R&D and testing for them.

I now have the aluminum spacers installed.
