Steve, what does the removal of this turbo muffler do? Can I do it to make the turbo louder?

How would I go about removing this turbo muffler, is there another piece that i need to put in there, or do you just take it out?

Default I haven't done it but...>>

It's about noise control, yes. The one on the right has a stainless sleeve welded in so that the turbo outlet gasses bypass the muffler body. That pic came from Germany....I think it's CarfanaTTic's car..

Yes. It's a little louder at the lower rpm's. The muffler is made of cast iron. You can easily get it out with a hammer and a chisel. Then you weld in a 60mm pipe. This mod is good for 8 to 10hp.
