Default strange sound from suspension????>>>>
whenever i change directions (reverse to forward or vice versa) i hear a knocking sound???? allmost like if its the shock shifting positions... not sure what the heck it is but my friends vr6 golf has been doing the same thing for some time now, mine just started recently.

anyone?????????

Motor mounts. Check all your suspension points though.

I have seen oval holes in the end of front sway bar also. loosen them and see if they clank.
