Default Stratmosphere headliner installed! 1st mod

OMG, am I glad that's over. I need to lift some weights or something. My arms are hanging down like two limp noodles.

But...

It's done! I fell into temptation and performed my first mod after owning the car for only 2 months. I have a feeling that this is going to be the start of a very sick habit! :-)

On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being hardest), I would rate this mod a 3, due to having to exert a lot of time and effort getting the tubes lined up and reinstalling some screws in some fairly tight quarters inside the plastic shroud where the top release is located.

I need a nap... some pics later.

Yes and also does it make the car quieter as claimed?

I've had their (Stratmosphere) headliner in my 2002 TT for about 6 months. I am very pleased with the fit and function. Definite noise reduction and heat saver (it gets cold in Wisconsin and I drive mine year round). I would recommend it for any roadster owner.

Do you have the motorized top? No problem folding w/extra thickness?

Mine has an electric top, and I have not had a problem raising or lowering with the headliner installed. Naturally, it adds a very small amount to the lowered height, but I can still install either the original boot cover, or Stratmosphere's softboot cover.
