Default Not very impressive...

Wood = pointless, it's metal....

Metal Bar = obviously weak aluminum, a bar that big that you can bend with just a few taps on another piece of metal isn't very strong in the first place. Plus if the wheel metal is stronger, it wouldn't even scratch the wheel.

Concrete Block = I venture that we perform the same test with even the smallest of ballpin hammers, concrete doesn't take alot to crack when all the pressure is applied at a small point.

I bet all these tests could be done with nearly any wheel out there.

Default Have you ever curbed a wheel?

I bet you didn't do much damage to the curb you hit.

Did you watch the footage of them doing burnouts on the frickin' wheel?

It's pretty impressive stuff.

The only thing I wonder about is how likely it is to fracture since it's so damned tough. You can only make metal so hard before you start to make it prone to cracking and such...

Default Curbing a wheel is different...>>>

You're putting the entire weight of the car essentially against a concrete slab of considerably greater thickness, which is also attached to the concrete on the ground. It's a much different scenario. And even though only slightly, the metal will be warmer when driving it, thus easier to scratch or crack. Plus, I don't know if they posted it elsewhere, but I didn't see any close up pics to see if it scratched the lip...

Default Again, they do a burnout on the frickin rim. Also...

I have pounded the lips of my wheels back into round with a lead hammer before. I KNOW first-hand how easy it is to bend lips.

That stuff is INSANE. Period.
