Default This sucks

so my tt went into limp mode. I used a vag to find that this code was being triggered. Camshaft position sensor (g40) / engine speed sensor (g28): incor. correlation p1430 - 35-00
Can someone tell me what to do with this. I also just changed my timing belt and i was wondering if this could have anything to do with this code being set off.
Thanks

Default your belt might be off a tooth. It will be very painfull :-(

Might have to re-do that timing belt.

Default Did you plug the sensor back in?

Or as Maalish mentioned...Off a tooth or two?

Default Re: This sucks

Yes i was hearing a small clicking noise from the belt area one that i have never heard before. Is this possibly the reason for the sensor tripping. And the sensor is in place could the sensor have goin bad

Default First make sure that the sensor is connected, then make sure that your T-belt is on right.

If you marked the belt and the mark is still there, rotate the engine by hand until mark lines up with TDC and check to see if the belt is on right. Keep in mind that you may have to cycle the belt a few times until you get to the same position in Crank relative to Cam as you did when you maked the belt originaly.
