Summit Point Raceway in Washington Post
There is an article in the Weekend section of the Washington Post about driving school at Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, WV. They talk specifically about a one-day, high-performance driving program called "Friday at the Track" (FATT). It looks pretty interesting.
I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever attended this or any other driving school even at this location. If so, what did you think?
Are there any other high-performance driving schools in the Maryland area?

I was at the QCUSA event there a few weeks ago . . .
great track. I had lots of fun! I know a few people that drive down to Summit from New England and NY Area that attend the FATT sessions. I will be doing the same next year once I finish getting the TT setup better.

The Post article made it sound like there are drivers of all types there..
So I may just try it in my stock TT once I actually get it.
Maybe I'll try to organize an AudiWorld TTr's drive out there some Friday in the spring.

I have done FATT and SATT at Summit Point...it becomes interesting...
additionally we have had club (Mercedes Benz) racing and driver training at same facility (there are two courses...main (older) track of about 2.1 mi and the newer 'Jefferson Course' which is slightly shorter but more 'curvey'...teaches oversteer control real fast. I am sending my son (Celica 2000 GT) and his friend (2001 VW GTI VR6) up there on Oct 21 for the Accident Avoidance school done by BSR crew...ANYBODY...in particular those with new drivers/teenagers should go to this school...might save a life...how many times have you read of an off road situation where driver oversteers, rotates and flips...or goes into a corner too fast and rear starts coming out and puts on brakes first thing. BSR has a good program.

BSR Racing runs a good school out there. I took their performance driving course, and Michael is ..
sending his son to their accident avoidance training next month. Never been to a FATT, but lots of people go in all types of cars at all skill levels. (In their classes you drive their cars, at FATT you drive your own.) They also do a lot of police training.

BSR at Summit Point
