And what did the speedometer read when you did? Me, in eastern Wyoming at indicated 136 mph. Road -- not telling -- keeping that all for myself.

Re: Is it true that there is no speed limit on some roads in Wyoming?
Nope - not true. Spend a lot of time out there - on some VERY lonely roads. State has posted limits on ALL roads. Some 2 laners are 70mph, some 65. It is true that there are not many people or police out there. I have been pulled over and warned, I have had a patrolman drive the other direction and signal me to slow down as he went by. The state patrol is tolerant but WILL give tickets.
Highway 50 in Nevada is a great place to stretch your legs as you can see for miles. I have cruised my Corvette (now replaced with a TT225C) at 130 mph for a few minutes at a time, but even Nevada has limits and a patrol

I have family out there...
...and I can guarantee there are speed limits. However, the highway patrol is rather leniant unless you are a danger to yourself or others. 136mph is probably under that chapter, but 80 - 85 isn't, and they just flash their lights as you pass to ask you to slow down.<p>Tom Boucher

I have not, but I met a guy at our dealership who claimed he hit the wall at 135 mph, twice, ouch. 27k worth of body damage!, he has since had the recall done. the good news is he said it didn't hurt a bit, his body that is, not the coupe's!!!
