Switching from BMW to Audi...
Hey guys. This will be my hello post followed up with questions. My previous two vehicles were a '01 325 and a '07 328. My lease is up and I'm going to bet getting a Audi TT but have a few questions before hand. FYI - I'm leasing and have no plans to tune the vehicle.
Firstly, I've noticed that audi has discontinued the 3.2 for the 2010 model. Am I losing anything by purchasing an '09 model with the 3.2 engine? The 3.2 (0-60 of 5.3) sounds blazing fast.
Secondly, from what I can tell the AMR doesn't simply make the car stiffer but (in dynamic mode) actually makes the car more comfortable to drive while maintaining poise on the turns. Is that correct, and if so do people think its a worthy option for someone who enjoys aggressive driving?
Finally, what would you expect a 3 year 12k a year lease option for the following vehicle to cost:
'09 TT 3.2
Premium Plus
S-Line package
Magnetic Ride
PS - any tips, details, or other information that may be useful while leasing this vehicle are more than welcome. Thanks guys.

A Mk II 3.2 does 0-60 in 5.3! They must have taken a h*ll of a lot of weight out of the 6.3 sec Mk I 3.2?
Before we bought our Mk I 3.2 we tried a 2.0 turbo and was less than impressed with low end torque around town, though in it's defense 105 deg F wasn't the best scenario. I haven't tried a 2.0 Mk I TT, but from what I've experienced with a 1.4 TSi (similar engine to the TT 2.0, albeit smaller with less boost and a lot more weight) Passat I doubt if you're giving anything away in terms of performance. You won't go wrong with the 3.2, but neither will you with a 2.0 TSi.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that if you're inclined to do your own work an Audi is a lot easier to work on. Amongst other things, with a VAG-COM you can access the vehicle diagnostics, something that isn't available with BMW.

You will love the 3.2. Glorious sound and lots of low end torque to boot. Yes they redesigned the TT and it lost a whole lot of weight and got a much stiffer chasis to boot. All the reviews say that the TT is now a bonafide sportscar. I have a 2005 3.2 with the DSG and I love it. With all the improvements made I am sure you will not be disappointed.
