System too lean code ...
My car has thrown the code twice in the last 2 months. The dealer states that they "tested" the MAF and it was functioning appropriately. Is there a test for the MAF? What else would case the car to throw this code? Thanks.
BTW, they also gave me grief about my SAMCO intake hose and diverter valve.

post-MAF, pre-turbo intake leak.
But it's more likely the MAF. There isn't a test that the dealer can do. You can use a VAG-Com and record readings while driving around to get some info on MAF condition. You'll need to search for a baseline to compare with. You can also check (channel 32?) to see how the ECU has adjusted fuel settings. When the adaptation has gone more than 10% from nominal, a rich/lean code gets thrown.

It was a MAF in my case >>>
Dealer said it was the Dahlback DV. I ordered a
2.0 MAF from www.ecstuning.com and switched out the
sensors. I did not clear the CEL and it went off
on its own after a couple of days once the
fueling was corrected.
