You guys and gals have no idea what a day the Mod Squad had. Groundbreaking, one of a kind.
Unfortunately, my camera was screwed up, so no pics from me, but Peter, David, and of course Bob all took pics, so they will document what I am about to tell you.
We convened at 6:45 am: Peter, Ray, myself, Gary, Bob, Eugene, Ricky, David, Bryan, and a new guy, Ken.
The plot: This Puerto Rican singer named Taino is shooting a video, the plot is him being chased by rabid female fans, played by me and the Mod Squad (before you start looking for pics of us in drag we were instructed to keep our windows up), he escapes into a waiting helicopter and flies off.
The Lambo: They have a canary yellow Diablo VT, which, upon closer inspection, turned out to be the Lambo equivalent of a beater (rental contract: $900 per day + $4 a mile). Anyway, the trained monkey they have drive the car over didn't realize it had a flat, so he drove it almost the whole way with a flat. The wheel is dented to ****. Two hours later, the lambo is ready to roll, same wheel, beaten back to hold air :-)
The shoot: So, out we go, with a helicopter overhead and to the side for filming, and onto 3-lane in each direction McArthur causeway, the principal road to and from Miami Beach. The police escort blocks ALL THE TRAFFIC as we head out, over the bridge, and chasing the Lambo. We do this 4 times! Each time the cops block all the traffic for us. Woo hoo, what fun. They hired 2 girls who were standing out through the open sunroofs of 2 IS 300's too. What a riot.
I'll give more details later, I'm off to dinner, (comma inserted to appease Mr. Bahookie) myself. :-)
