Tech help here. N75 ringing...
So I put the ECS N75 valve in last week. Car pulls great with it. However I noticed a slight ring like a little bell when i give it throttle in first gear. Today I had my friend give it some gas while i had the hood opened... turns out it's the N75 valve doing this. I unplugged it and he gave it gas...the noise went away. Plugged it in...noise was there.
What could this be? Defective valve?
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

It's the sympathetic vibrations of the arm of the valve, against the iron core of the solenoid coil.
A coil of wire, around an iron core, creates an electro-magnet, and when properly energized, snaps a metal piece to the center of the magnetized iron core.
Same as a relay.
When there is contact, sometimes this engergized coil can introduce a vibration in the metal pieces that makes the ringing noise.
try this.
Next time it 'rings' take a small screwdriver, grab it by the blade, and tap the coil part of the valve with the handle part of the driver, *gently* a few times to see if the ringing stops.
The valve is fine, it's doing it's job, i'm sure the noise is annoying.
