Default Temperature of air from vents

The temperature of the air coming in through the vents(in the economy mode)is quit a bit warmer than the outside air.Is this normal,or is my vent system messed up.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you have the a/c engaged, or just the fan running? Where do you live?

Default I think this is normal, incoming air is warmed by engine heat

Default If you figure out how to vent the outside air in, let me know

Steve, I own a roadster and live in the tropics. Yesterday, while driving around between 11AM and about 3PM I had to leave the AC on even with the top down. In econo mode, the heat coming out of the vents seemed a lot hotter than the outside air. In addition, with the AC system turned off, the floor turn into a pancake griddle.

Agree. Sometimes I find it's cooler just to completely shut the fan.

Default Not plugging but a sunshade...

definitely does help. I have also found my 225 TTR to be worse with this problem than my 180FWD was. I think the sun and turbo (engine heat) get the dash and intake so hot it blows like a blowdryer. Sometimes I'll run the A/C for a bit to cool the system. Good luck! -Pete

Sun heats up the vents, it will cool down to normal after a while.
