I dont think that they look hideous.
I wanted them at one point - but SGI was not making them any longer.
I cant remember the guy's forum name, but he has a picture of his TT, spinning all 4 wheels - the picture had a better shot of the SGI spoiler.
It looks fooken huge sitting on top of the trunk lid, but looks much better installed.
Go for it and paint it red. If you want to show that it is CF, leave the rear facing surfaces of the wing unpainted.
