thanks for the comments from my post about my ticket...and those who were quick to pass judgement...
i was driving at approx 75mph when the police vehicle came behind me and began to tailgate me. i increased my speed to about 80, but it was on a downhill and i didnt notice my speed jumping up. the stupid cop pulls me over, and says u should pull over when someone is tailgating you.
so dont pass judgment on me...i wasnt driving like a bat out of hell.
but for ventted and those who were supportive, thanks and i was on the 5S near costa mesa,ca.

If he was truly tailgating you, I would report him as that is reckless endangerment on his part.
Sorry, but cops are not allowed to break the law either. If he admitted this to you, then I would report him.
If you were doing only 80, where did he get the 93 from? Did you question anything at all?

I'm glad the cop said that, "u should pull over when someone is tailgating you"......
Too many folks hog the left lane feeling they have the right to control the lane when it's for passing. Don't get me wrong as I do speed occasionally and have had plenty of infractions but by your two posts it seems that you speed and you hog the fast lane. School might be a good thing.

Just asking . . . but how could someone both be speeding and hogging the fast lane?
Wouldn't those two acts be mutually exclusive? Either you are speeding in the left lane, or you are driving so slow as to be hogging the left lane. If you are both speeding and hogging the left lane, then what the hell is the car behind you trying to attempt?
To me the approaching car would then be reckless, as in the case of the cop that came up behind him the way tr2nd described this situation.

Since L.A. recently banned high speed chases, you should have taken off!!
Only kidding, of course. If he wasn't lit up, you had no obligation to pull over - only to reduce speed to the posted limit.
