Default Is there something wrong with my fuel gauge??

Only took on 14.5 gallons, seems to give warning way too early, and the needle can never make it into the red zone. What is the capacity of the fuel tank? I think I read 16.5 gallons, but then I also saw something about a 2 gallon reserve... what is the deal with this?

Default Mine did this.

It was an in tank sensor, I don't know what exactly it was called... Someone may be able to help you, I don't think its your cluster, so thats good.

Default *if* it's the fuel senders, here's a very good write-up

Default Yep, either the cluster or fuel senders... or both!

Mine was inconsistent like this and a cluster replacement was the cure... under warranty, of course.

Could also be dirty fuel senders, sometimes a few treatments of Chevon Techron alleviates it, but they may need to be replaced or even cleaned as per the link tylor posted.
