Default for those with the APR chip...

This weekend I will probably be getting an APR ECu chip with the 93 octane program. First off, I am going with APR because they have a local dealer, who is also a sponser of our local Audi club, who is also putting on an event for us this weekend, who is also offering a 15% discount. That being said. how much is the APR 93 oct program affected by octane level in fuel? I usually run BP or Phillips 92 oct. in a pinch I have used 91. will this be an issue? Also, does this chip affect performance across the full power range or just at wide open throttle? Finally, how much boost will I be running with this chip?

TIA

Default Get an extra slot...>

ECMS so you can toggle between programs. If you have 2 slots, one can be stock, one 93, or one 91, one 93.....Good to keep stock in at least 1 slot though.. Figure 18PSI, but I can help you with that! APR responds great to personalized Mods....:-)

Default APR chip is amazing...

I dont know about running different octanes in 93 mode...you will be getting a new car, power is seen throughout the entire range...my favorite part is 6th gear...you can floor it in sixth and it picks up and goes just like any other gear, truly awesome! I now push 21psi but it may be lower on just a stock car with an apr chip, I would say 18-20 psi? Anyways it was the mod that transformed my car, and people will hear you pass by, hear this whistleing and say damn that thing must have a big turbo...

Default 93 oct rating on the chip means use 93 oct. gas. Anything else will degrade performance. it does...

make a difference.
