I've been adjusting the control arms by measuring the distance between the two joints. I recently got an alignment, and got the before and after alignment measurements. I later measured the distance between the joints on the new setting and used my old measurements as points of reference.
These numbers should be pretty accurate and hopefully useful, especially for those weekend mechanics who want to tweak their camber settings but don't have an alignment tool.

There's a shop with the Hunter rack, did it for $99, the dealer usually charges about $120
I like the local shop as I can stand there and watch what they are doing and tell them any specs I'd like.
I had my alignment done at the dealer once, but I think they really didn't do it properly. Said I had a camber of -1.3 in the rears. This was with only a 1/2 KMAC and lowered - HR springs, Bilsteins. The lowest camber you can really get with my setup is -1.9..so that's how I know they may have bull****ted me.
