Default Very cool car. The manager at my Audi dealer has two original ur Quattros - an '84 and '85.

Though he used to own an '83 like yours at one time, he regrets selling it. Here are his, custom NJ plates for each as well: 85URQTR and 84URQTR. Very cool cars, don't ever sell it!

Looking good! Isn't it amazing what regular TLC can do.

Gobi beige is beautiful and rare, do you still have it?

Default Actually I traded it in on the new TTQ, cost per year for repairs was exceeding car payments.

And it simply was not reliable enough any more for long long care free road trips, always something very expensive and hard to find going wrong, but not with the basic engine, drivetrain, or body, just accessory stuff like hydraluic brake boosters, steering rack leaks, fuel injection pump, exhaust, broken exhaust manafold bolt, clutch, etc, at a thousand a crack or so. Oh well, it was 17 years old and 100000 miles when I parted with it, ran cheep overall. The TTQ is a day and night better car!

Great picture, they were a great car... sorry you found you had to trade it...I have a 1986 version of its sibling a red 1986 Quattro Coupe, 130,000 miles, which is used every day and is very reliable (though parts when needed are a horrendous price)....although it does not have the UR beast factor it is still a great car to drive.....can't see myself ever selling it.
