to those kind souls who offered their input on my recent tequila search....
i'd like to thank you again, and report that i now have a favorite (after a limited, but ongoing and very interesting taste-test experience).
The candidates were:
1. Jose Cuervo 1800
2. Tres Generaciones
3. Patron Arejo
4. Patron Silver
and the winner is................. (at this point!)
Patron Silver (by a landslide). The sweetest, smoothest sipping (or mixing) of the list. Paul (TTinGables) your suggestion of Tres Generaciones is great, and an *excellent* tequila for the price (big time!)... absolutely wonderful mixed... and not bad for sipping either. Actually prefered it to the Patron Arejo for straight sipping... the Patron Arejo had a bit too much oak insinuations and more of a bite at the end than the Tres Generaciones; a different character altogether.
However, the Patron Silver (despite it's higher price than I originally tried for) is worth it and then some. Wow!
Next..... single malts! (bring it on, Joel!) LoL
You people are corrupting me soooooo much! (Asheville will be superbly decadent, I can tell)

budgets sometimes go the way of all good intentions: down the toilet. lol! Still... that Tres Generaciones is great and i want to try the other one on your list too (eek, once i find the darn list again!).
Grrrrreat fun trying to decide which one I liked better, too! >;-)
