For those who have replaced the lock cylinders with blanks...
My car got broken into recently, and I've replaced the broken lock cylinder with a blank and the handle cover without the keyhole.
I'm considering doing this for the other door, but the possibility of not getting into the car via the key worries me. What if the remote battery die? Granted that's unlikely with 2 remotes. But what if the car battery dies? You can't go into the car to pop the hood. Break a window? Does "slimjim" work on our cars, just to allow us to pop the hood? The alarm probably wouldn't go off, but how the the immobilizer behave if the battery is dead?
Thanks.

What I am doing....
I am removing the metal cap over the keyhole to make it smaller. Then dremel the blank cap to allow it to fit flush. Install it over the passenger's side. If you loose power, break the cap off without damaging the door panel and use the key.
Option two.... attach a set of wires going to the battery and zap strap them under the car. If the battery is dead connect the wires to another and you should have enough power for the doors.
