Default Thumping and shuttering feeling while wheel is turned >>

I only feel it at slow speeds after turning the wheel all-the-way before and after pulling in or out of a parking spot. I've seen different reasons in searching, but nothing specific.

Thanks.

Any noises associated with it? No shudders or noises at other speeds? Only left turn or right turn?

Default Only at slow speeds I feel it...

on sharp turns in the parking lot. The thumps get faster if I move faster... only noticed it after turning very sharp right, then backing up. Not a loud noise... maybe "thumping on the tire" kind of noise, but sounds like it's maybe coming from the suspension. Feels like rolling over something. The post below sound like the same problem.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4b6/msgs/375375.phtml</a

Default my TT has always made a rather loud ratcheting noise when turning

very sharp at low speeds. Dealer kept the car, replaced several items, including bars, and it still does it. Says they can't track it down.

It doesn't seem to be hurting anything...

Good luck my white brother!

Default Mild vibration at near to full lock could be power steering fluid (it was for me) >

I'd check that first but your case sounds a little more serious than "mild vibration." Good luck.

Default I have this problem now working on resolving it...

I was told to check the power steering fluid top it off if its low. Also as belts get older it could be the serpentine belt on the power steering pump this is usually changed out when you do the timing belt though. Ive also been told that there is a fluid at pepboys that supposedly stops the knocking not confirmed thought.

To rule out the tires, try rotating the tires front to back and see if anything changes.

Default I'd be real careful putting anything but pentosin in the power steering. I'll never forget how

much it cost to fix the steering on my Corrado...
