So what tire size is do you prefer for the track on 17 X 7 inch wheels? 225/45/17 ???
I think I'd prefer 225's but I'm wondering about your thoughts on sidewall flex.
One other question... any compelling reason to go 8 inch wide wheels instead of 7 inch?

I run 225-45-17s but quite honestly have never driven a TT on anything else.
One good point is that they are less expensive than 18s and thats important. R comps can easily cost you $200 per weekend. $2.00 per lap!

You can get Enkei 7 X 18 wheels that are very light...about 17 lbs....that is what we use on our KONI Challenge car. The 225/45 X17 will be fine...you could also use a 225/40 17 which will be a little wider and shorter. If you put on the 17 X 8 wheels, you might use a 245/40 X 17.

I'd stick with 225's on 7" but I run 8" with 235/40/17 which is a very common size for Rcomps
and the NT01's i'm using run a bit wide for 235's. They fit perfectly on the 8" wide wheel.
