Default One of my favorites! Quick question...is it possible to remove the "ABT" from the grill? That is

the only part I find questionable....but then again, I've been told I'm an obsessive compulsive person that must have symmetry...and the logo throws it off. Just curious because I might get one soon. Thanks.

Default symmeTTry.

We must have the same variety of OCD. It almost prevented my purchase of the ABT grill/(e), until I realized that, like everything else on my TT, it would be best modded.. It's just a simple tack on badge, like all the others on the TT (most of which I've also removed), and you can just leave it off, but the plastic is molded around it, so there'll be an asymmetric element to it still unless you did what I did, which is not easy, and therefore not cheap. Cutting out the plastic leaves a hole in the grill that must be repaired for it to look right. My guy used the plastic from the piece that was cut out for the repair, then bonded, sanded, repeat. Works out fine, but you have to find someone willing to work with you on this. Then there's the question of keeping the lower grilles consistent and symmetrical...
Hope that helps.

Rich

Default hey Rich, do you think I could send my ABT grille to your guy?

no one in S.FL is willing to touch this.
I wanted to the the S4 fog lights and the lower grille and failed miserably twice

Body shops want quick tunraround work. I'm willing to pay for the labor but they cringe at the task. Go figure.

Love your ride bro!

Default sure...

..as long as you're not on a very tight time schedule.
Let me know and I'll talk to him.

Default Arg....problems....lots.....

First off the hood smashes into the fenders. There is no way to adjust the fenders anymore...so the hood must be adjusted upward. This then creates a huge gap above the headlights which looks "off". The fenders dont quite line-up with the rocker panels...so we have to mold the panels out a bit more which takes time and $$. Then there is the issue of a HUGE pump located right behind the passenger-side vent. Not only does it hit the vent...but also look TERRIBLE. We either have to re-locate the pump (difficult because it uses hard-lines) or cover the vent up with something. I wish I hadn't bought these things...

Default not really on a tight time schedule, but...

my body shop screwed in and glued my ABT grille to the bumper. I don't know if it can be removed.
I'll have to ask them about it.

How long do you think it will take? I travel often so I can try to schedule it around those times.

Every time I look at the grille, I think of dremeling that piece away.

Thanks for inquiring for me!
