TP update...
I just got off of the phone with Vince Evans, no not the quarterback, but the Audi Sales Manager at Holbert Motors in PA. This is the dealership that TP is buying his 225q roadster from (at MSRP), and Vince is the fellow that I spoke to last week, in an attempt to help out TP.
Vince told me that the roadster would be at the dealership by Friday (yesterday), however TP flew up on Thursday and was apparently unhappy that the car had not arrived. So did it arrive or not already?
The answer is YES! TP took delivery of his Silver/Black 225q TTR on Friday, and is now enroute back to San Diego. He has to be here pretty quickly, so I doubt he'll have much time for postings, and I hope that he doesn't get any speeding tickets!
Vince said that Holbert drove down in their truck and snagged the vehicle themselves. Also, they covered most of TP's airfare (about $400 of the $500 cost), and paid for his hotel room. To me, it sounds like they did the guy right, but I'll let Tom speak for himself. According to Vince, Tom drove away happy.
Thanks to Vince and Holbert Audi for going out of their way to get Tom his roadster, which had been held at port due to lack of an EPA sticker! We'll look forward to reading Tom's comments when he returns from the long drive home. Hope he bought some sunscreen!
